N-Acetyl Semax benefits
From the PeptideBase research library. Educational only — not medical advice.
Studied effects
- BDNF and NGF upregulation extrapolated from parent compound semax research
- dopaminergic and serotonergic modulation (semax mechanism basis)
- acetylation proposed to improve enzymatic stability vs base semax
- no independent PubMed evidence for this specific modified compound
Mechanism
Same ACTH(4-7) core as Semax, but structural modifications resist peptidase degradation. Enhances BDNF expression, supports dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission, and modulates NMDA receptor activity.
