What PeptideBase Is

PeptideBase is an educational provider directory and research matching tool. We are not a healthcare provider, telehealth service, or medical platform. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, how we use it, and your rights over that information.

Information We Collect

Quiz and Matching Data

When you use the matching questionnaire, we collect your responses to generate educational provider matches. This includes:

  • Your research goals and preferences
  • Your age range
  • Health-related information — specifically, any health conditions or contraindications you report in the quiz. This information is used exclusively for contraindication filtering (excluding peptides that may be unsuitable) and is never used for advertising, profiling, or shared with third parties.
  • Your country of residence (for provider availability filtering)
  • Protocol and administration preferences

Quiz responses are stored anonymously and linked only to a random session ID — not to your name, email, or any account. We do not require you to create an account to use the matching tool.

Usage Data

We may collect standard server-side usage data such as pages visited, referring URLs, and general geographic region (country level) via access logs or analytics. This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.

Affiliate Click Data

When you click a provider link, we log the click event (which provider, which page you clicked from, and your session ID) for affiliate attribution purposes. We do not track you beyond our own site.

How We Use Your Information

  • To generate your educational match results
  • To filter out peptides with contraindications you reported
  • To track affiliate clicks for revenue attribution
  • To understand how the site is used (aggregate analytics only)

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your health-related quiz responses for advertising, targeting, or any purpose other than generating your match results.

Data Retention

Anonymous match session data (including quiz responses) is automatically deleted after 90 days. Affiliate click logs are retained for up to 12 months for revenue reconciliation, then deleted.

Health-related information collected during the quiz is covered by the same 90-day retention limit. It is not stored beyond that period.

Cookies and Sessions

We use a single session cookie to associate your match results with your browser session. This cookie contains only a random session identifier — no personal information. It expires when your browser session ends or after 30 days, whichever comes first. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your session data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Because sessions are stored anonymously, you will need to provide your session ID (visible in your results page URL) so we can locate your data.

If you are located in California (CCPA) or the European Economic Area (GDPR), you have additional rights including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Third-Party Services

PeptideBase uses Supabase (database hosting) and Vercel (site hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We do not use third-party advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or data brokers.
