About Melanotan II
Synthetic melanocortin receptor agonist (MC1R-MC5R); activates MC4R for erectile function/libido; MC1R for melanogenesis; MC3R for appetite suppression
About PT-141
PT-141 is a synthetic analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) that activates melanocortin receptors (MC3R and MC4R) in the central nervous system, particularly within the hypothalamus. Unlike peripherally acting agents, it modulates sexual arousal at the CNS level via dopaminergic pathways, independent of vascular mechanisms. Bremelanotide received FDA approval as Vyleesi for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women.

FDA prescribing information for bremelanotide identifies transient blood pressure elevation as the primary safety concern. Baseline cardiovascular assessment and BP monitoring are recommended.
Melanotan II
Antihypertensive medications
Research notes that Melanotan II may influence cardiovascular function via melanocortin receptor activation. Combined use with antihypertensive medications may require blood pressure monitoring. Consult your prescriber before combining.
PT-141
Oxytocin
Research suggests PT-141 and Oxytocin may produce complementary sexual health effects when combined. PT-141 activates central melanocortin receptors involved in arousal signaling, while oxytocin modulates bonding, reward, and peripheral reproductive pathways.
Antihypertensive medications
Research notes that PT-141 may influence cardiovascular hemodynamics via central melanocortin pathways. Combined use with antihypertensive medications may require monitoring. Consult your prescriber before combining.
