Directory order

The full listing score is published — every component, out of 100.

Providers are ordered by a listing score computed in our database. Manual review is its largest component, and the methodology page states exactly what each point rewards — and what the score cannot tell you.

Trust framework — six dimensions

What we watch beyond the rankings. Flip a card to see what it measures.

New dimension signals are added as they are verified.

Commercial relationships — 0 pts

Zero dollars taken from providers, vendors, or affiliates. Ever.

  • No vendor money
  • No affiliate links
  • No paid placements

PeptideBase has no commercial relationship with any provider or vendor it ranks. Read the full methodology →

Research library

Work the literature, not the marketing.

Every compound graded by research maturity — four tiers reflect how much published literature exists, not whether a compound works.

  1. 32

    Early

    limited published research

  2. 77

    Emerging

    growing research base

  3. 7

    Moderate

    multiple study types

  4. 1

    Established

    extensive literature

Most compounds sit in the early tiers — that skew is honest, and it's exactly why we grade them.

Common questions

Before you browse.

Five questions we get every week. Short answers — longer explanations live in the methodology page.

No. PeptideBase is an educational directory and matching tool. We aggregate publicly available information about providers and compounds. Nothing on the platform is a prescription, treatment plan, or substitute for consultation with a licensed clinician.

No. Provider rankings are determined by an algorithmic scoring system — 0 paid placements.

Clinics employ licensed practitioners who can prescribe. Compounding pharmacies (503A / 503B) formulate and dispense against a prescription. Vendors sell compounds for research use only — no prescription, no medical guidance, and not for human consumption.

A small number — Semaglutide and Tirzepatide among them — are FDA-approved for specific indications. Most peptides catalogued on PeptideBase are not FDA-approved and are dispensed under compounding exemptions or sold for research. Each peptide page lists its current regulatory status.

The quiz runs entirely client-side. No account is required to receive a match. We log aggregate, anonymized response distributions to improve the matching model — never tied to an identity. You can review the data we collect on our privacy page.
