Lot-identifier structure, value equality, and lab-report adjacency — run over the 651 published records carrying both values. Reseller relabelling of a shared synthesis run is normal and not misconduct, but a buyer comparing these two brands is comparing one product.
Listing status matters here. Evidence quality and commercial availability are separate questions, so the row carries both rather than blending them into one number: the score does not read listing status, and the status dot does not read the score.
What the ranking draws on
Only 7 of 14 labs publish a lookup at all, and we resolve 2 of those automatically. Our method needs something the issuing laboratory publishes to check a certificate against, so where a lab publishes nothing we cannot confirm — a property of the lab, not the vendor. Where we have not assessed a lab, we say that instead of assuming.
Lab-side evidence reaches a record by two routes and the score counts them together. Of the 407 certificates in the 1,080-record corpus that carry it, 238 were taken from the laboratory’s own database and 169 were copies the vendor published, for which we fetched the laboratory’s own file and matched the two byte for byte. Both mean the laboratory holds this document; they differ in who published it, and each record says which. Those two are CORPUS counts — the percentage on a row is that vendor’s share of its own certificates, over a different population.
