The Peptide Price Index: 2026 Market Report

What research peptides actually cost, per milligram, across the open vendor market — and how far the price for the same compound varies between sellers. Every figure below is computed from live vendor pricing; the full dataset is free to download and cite.

Across the 50 indexed compounds, the premium (75th-percentile) price per mg runs about 1.6× the budget (25th-percentile) price for the typical peptide — and up to 3.5× for the most dispersed.

Research vendor prices only — clinical program costs are not included. A median is shown only where at least 5 vendors and a real price spread exist; thinner data shows the observed range and a limited-sample marker. Contact providers directly for current rates.

Regulatory status of tracked compounds

FDA status of each indexed compound, weighted by vendor-listing volume so the picture reflects market size, not a bare count of compounds. Shown for information only — not an assessment of safety, legality, or suitability of any use.

Methodology

Sample. 1,359 vendor price points across 50 peptides. A peptide is included only when it clears the published minimum number of distinct active vendors (8), each carrying qualifying, milligram-denominated pricing — so every benchmark reflects a real market, not one seller.

Normalization. Each listing is converted to a USD price per milligram; products without a stated mg weight are excluded. Values are winsorized at the 5th/95th percentile within each peptide, then the p25 / median / p75 are computed in SQL. Figures are direct aggregates — no application-layer rounding beyond four decimals.

Source & cadence. Prices are scraped from public vendor listings by the PeptideBase pipeline and refreshed weekly; this report reflects the live index as of August 26, 2026.

Independence. Ranking in this report: 0 paid placements.

PeptideBase takes no payment for inclusion in this report.

PeptideBase takes no affiliate commission on these vendors.

Inclusion and ranking are produced automatically by the pipeline.

Scope. Research-use vendor pricing only. These compounds are sold for research purposes and are not intended for human use; clinical program pricing (telehealth, compounding pharmacy) follows a different model and is not captured here. See the full methodology and the cost-of-therapy guide.
